EXTRA Tour Dates Announced!

Due to phenomenal demand, the guys are adding more dates to their UK tour and have now added two extra London dates. The guys will be playing at Camden’s legendary Jazz Cafe on Friday, October 8th and then will be doing a special Christmas show at The Pigalle Club on Monday, December 13th.

New Album Now Available At The Edinburgh Fringe!

We’re having a fantastic time up here at the Fringe, with sell out shows a plenty, a 5 Star review already to our name, and appearances on BBC Breakfast and Radio 2 in the last week. Now to cap it all we’ve just taken delivery of our new album Gobsmacked, which will only be available at our shows here until its official release on 20th September.

Our first full studio album since 2004, it features brand new songs from our new show such as Girls & Boys by Blur, and Sweet Dreams by Beyonce, as well as live favourites such as Poker Face and Living On A Prayer. We’re really proud of it, and hope you’ll share our enthusiasm, whether you pick it up here on the Fringe, online, or at one of our tour dates this Autumn.

BBC Radio 2 Elvis In The Park, September 12th

Elvis In The Park The Magnets are very excited to announce that they will be appearing at the Elvis Forever event in Hyde Park on Sunday, September 12th. Radio 2 are bringing together some of the biggest names to revive the music of Elvis in a special concert in London’s Hyde Park hosted by Chris Evans with a special appearance by Priscilla Presley.

On Friday August 6th the guys got an early wake up call and appeared on the BBC Breakfast news. Along with singing links in between items and being interviewed the magnets also sang the programme out 150m up in the air! The Festival has a venue that is a dinner table that is hoisted by a crane up to 150m and the last link of the BBC programme was live, suspended above Princes Street Gardens. The piece was also played on the 6 O’Clock evening news. Here are a couple of videos of how it looked from the guys’ perspective…

Magic Numbers: ITV1, Saturday July 31st, 8pm

The Magnets appeared as guests on ITV1′s Magic Numbers on Saturday, July 31st. It was a really fun day of rehearsal and recording for the guys and their TV Theme Tune Medley went down really well with the studio audience. After the show, the guys hit if off with Louie Spence, star of “Pineapple Dance Studios” .

The boys couldn’t be more ready for the Edinburgh Festival!.

Magnet Taxis Rolling Out In Edinburgh…..

It’s only a few weeks until The Magnets open their show at the Udderbelly in Edinburgh and ahead of opening night 18 taxis are now cruising around Edinburgh ready to pick up passengers and spread the word about The Magnets. Check them out!

New Berlin Dates Added – Nov 1/2, 2010

The Magnets are excited to announce that they are going to playing two nights at the legendary  ”Tipi Am Kanzleramt” on November 1st and 2nd, 2010. This will be the first time the guys have been back to Berlin for a few years so it will be a good chance for all of our Berliner friends to catch up with the new show!

BBC London – June 18th 9-10am

The guys appeared on BBC London on Saturday June 18th between 9am and 10am singing a couple of songs and talking about the shows at the Udderbelly at the Southbank. Despite Steve suffering with a cold and barely being able to sing he still managed get through our new single, Poker Face.

Isle of Wight Festival

On Sunday June 13th we went to the Isle of Wight Festival and had a great gig at the Hipshakers Lounge. We had such a great time and we think that the audience did too — judge for yourself…
