China…Wow!

China…Wow!

In August we had the pleasure of touring China for the first time thanks to our friends at Brilliant Hero Culture in Shanghai. As a group none of us had ever been to China before so we didn’t really know what to expect from our first trip. Three weeks, 8 flights, 2 trains, 7 hotels, 6 concerts and hundreds of photos later we returned home to London full of brilliant memories and hopes for a swift return to China.

Since we’ve been back we’ve found it hard to describe our experience to family and friends. China is, well, everything. Busy, quiet, loud, hazy, colourful, exciting, crazy, zen, huge, minute, frenzied, spiritual…all at the same time. The sheer scale of it is breathtaking as is the energy of people. It really feels like a country that’s going somewhere; everyone is on the move, doing deals, on their phones…and yet there are pockets of calm and tranquility that are like nowhere in Europe.

They say a picture tells a 1000 words and whilst on tour Fraser took lots of pictures, which, like China, are beautiful. We’ve put some of our favourites together below and hope that it conveys just how amazing our trip and this country really is.

After our third gig we'd be on the road for 7 days straight so we let off some steam with new friends.
